Ronanye
Martens-Loderus studied several traditional martial arts before being introduced to IVAR
HAFSKJOLD, the sole remaining inheritor of the Stav system. Mr. Martens-Loderus is one of only four teachers authorized to teach Stav by Mr. Hafskjold. |

Ancient
European martial arts have largely been lost to time, a few styles have survived, hidden
from view, as family traditions. A Pan-Germanic art with roots in the Pre-Celtic and
Indo-Aryan cultures, Stav is based on the mystical 16 Runes and the Norse caste system.
The system teaches principles, not techniques, appropriate for each caste.
Utilizing the ax, staff, swords, spears and deer antlers, Stav heightens mental awareness allowing students to devise their own techniques. Stav has been preserved by the Hafskjold family of Norway. |
